Fair Isle Technique / Bainbridge Tam & Cowl Knit-a-long

The Bainbridge Cowl will be used to teach the fair isle knitting technique.

We will be knitting along with Blue Sky Fibers in the month of October.

Intermediate Skill Level

Class is conducted via Zoom*.   One session.

Session is recorded for playback on our YouTube channel.

Please complete the homework before class.  (See below).

There is no charge for Zoom classes.  We request that you use yarn purchased at the shop.

Visit Zoom.us and enter code 559-658-0843  no passcode needed

Supplies Needed:

1 - Bainbridge Tam & Cowl Kit (includes 5 skeins of Woolstok Light, project bag and pattern).

Size #3* - 24 inch circular needle for cowl.  #3 - 16" circular needle for tam.  Or needle to obtain gauge of 29 sts and 35 rnds = 4" blocked.

* It is common for all knitters to go up one needle size for fair isle.  This prevents a puckers fabric.   For example tight knitters would want to use a #4 for this project.

Homework:  (if possible please complete before first class).

Purchase Bainbridge Tam & Cowl Kit.

For the Cowl.

CO 192 sts with color A (see chart).  Place marker and join to work in the round, being careful not to twist sts.

Knit with A rounds 1 and 2.

Please take a moment to review our Class Polices, regarding cancellations, minimum enrollment etc.
