The Arched Gusset Mittens



It's the "Year of the Mitten" at KPS.

Join us to learn tips for knitting the Arched Gusset Mittens by Purl Soho

This informative class will be on February 25 at 12:00 where you will learn...

  • How to make the mittens using the magic loop. 
  • Determining what size mitten to make for family members. 
  • Demonstration of increases used to build the gusset.  
Includes: 

Help selecting yarn & needle to make mittens. 

30 minutes of work time to cast on your mittens OR to work on your thumb gusset*.   


*Homework / Supplies: 

IF you want help with your thumb gusset you MUST complete the homework PRIOR to attending the workshop.  

Download the pattern - CO numbers of stitches for the size of mitten you would like to make (worsted weight) and knit the cuff according to the pattern.  

Size #5   24" or 32" circular needle 

2 skeins Woolstok or 1 skein Malabrigo Worsted or Rios  or 1 skein Worsted or Corrie Confetti by la Bien Aimee 

Assorted stitch markers


Skills / Knowledge Required: (if working on your project during the workshop):

Must know how to cast on stitches using the long tail method. 
Must know how to knit. 
Familiar with magic loop method for knitting. 

Yarn for workshop must be purchased from the shop.
