Take Wing Hat - Technique Class
The "Take Wing Hat" includes a decorative double brim for extra warmth, with twisted decorative cables. Learn a provisional cast on, how to create twisted cables. Create a double brim by knitting provisional stitches together.
Construction:
Take Wing is knitted in the round from the bottom up. After a provisional cast on, the brim lining is worked in 1x1 ribbing. The outer part of the brim is then worked in a 1 x 1 ribbing. The outer part of the brim is then worked in a wing cable pattern. When the brim is complete, the provisionally cast on stitches are placed on a second circular needle and knitted together with the life brim stitches. The remainder of the hat is worked in stockinette stitch.
Two Sessions: February 15th and 22nd 12:00 - 1:00 p.m.
