Musselburgh Hat
A favorite swatchless hat pattern that creates a double-layerd beanie with 4 point crown shaping. Have a single skein of yarn between light fingering and dk you are ready to knit this hat.
This class will be taught using the Magic Loop method. This is not a Beginning Hat class, prior experience knitting a hat with a magic loop is needed.
Class will include instruction on:
- Starting the hat with Emily Ocker's Cast on
- Dividing to work on a Magic Loop
- Reviewing the increase section, determining the size you will make based upon your stitch count.
- Reviewing how you will decrease to finish the hat.
Supplies Needed:
- One skein of fingering weight or dk weight yarn. Recommended: Lazy Bee, La Bien Aimee Merino Single, Blue Sky Woolstok Light, Rowan Felted Tweed or Juniper Moon Patagonia.
- 40" circular needle for Magic Loop* in your size for working with your yarn choice.
- Musselburgh pattern is not included with class. Purchase and bring to class.
- 2 circular stitch markers, 1 locking stitch marker.
Classes with fewer than three students will be canceled 72 hours before the start date, participants will receive a full refund. No refund will be issued for cancel registation 72 hours before class.
