Learn to Knit a Hat (magic loop)
Learn to make a hat for the winter season and holiday gift giving.
We will be making the Barley Hat Worsted, by Tin Can Knits. These beginner friendly pattern is perfect for mastering this technique and a favorite for gift giving.
Class: Learn to Knit a Hat (magic loop).
Skill Level: Beginner to Advanced Beginner Skill Level.
Must Know Beforehand: Confident knitter, familiar with casting on, the knit and purl stitch.
Class Sessions: One session.
Cost: $25
You will learn: How to cast on and join to work in the round. Tips for knitting with the magic loop. What size to make and how to adjust. How to decrease at the top to finish your hat.

Supplies Needed:
- US #6 - 40" circular needle We recommend purchasing two interchangeable needles, with one 4-" cord.
- US #8 - 40" circular needle
- Tapestry needle
- Stitch markers
Pattern:
- Barley Worsted Hat by Tin Can Knits (free download on Ravelry)
Yarn Needed:
- Approximately 100 - 200 yds of Worsted weight yarn.
- Recommended Yarns - Blue Sky Woolstok, Malabrigo Rios, Lazy Bee Queen Bee.
Homework:
- Purchase yarn.
