My First Granny Square

This class qualifies for a KPS Learn & Earn Reward*
Granny squares have been around for generations. It is easy to see why when you consider how versatile, innovative, and just plain fun they are. You can make bags, hats, home decor, and garments of all kinds with granny squares. Come join us for some fun as we explore granny squares together.
This class will help you learn to make a basic four-sided granny square. We will be using a charted pattern for our directions. This way, you will be learning two skills in one class. You will take away a basic square to continue working on, create more to stitch together for a table topper, or purchase additional yarn to create a lovely lap blanket.
Please note: this is the first in a series of "My First Granny" projects. Watch each month for new projects and classes to help you expand your skills.

| Instructor Bio: | I have been knitting and crocheting since I was a young girl. I tried learning on my own, but ended up learning from dear family members during holiday gatherings. I feel like my life is richer because of my ability to knit and crochet among other crafts. Sharing the joy of learning with those who come into my life makes me happy. I was blessed to teach elementary aged children for 30 years in the classroom as well as eager knitters, crocheters, needlepointers, and tatters in my life. Now, I get to continue to help others learn here at Knit Paper Scissors. I treasure the friendships I am making as I continue on this new adventure in my life. |
