Plumpy / Brioche Knit -along
This qualifies as a Summer Cruise class.
Set sail on a creative adventure with our ocean-inspired crochet class, perfect for our summer cruising theme. In these playful and relaxing sessions, you will create sea animals in the crochet amigurumi style. By the end of class, you will have a finished, or nearly finished, ocean buddy ready to accompany you on all your summer adventures - no passports required!
Class: Plumpy / Brioche Knit-along
Pattern: Plumpy by Andrea Mowry
Skill Level: Confident knitter.
Must Know Beforehand: Need to be comfortable with reading stitches, increases and decreases.
Class Sessions: Join us any of the following times.
Thursdays - June 18th, July 9th and August 6th at 11 am.
Saturdays - June 20th, July 11th and August 8th at 1 pm
Knitters will work on sections between each class,with the goal of completing the shawl by our end-of-summer party, August 22nd
Cost: $30
You will learn: You’ll learn two-color Brioche, sliding stitches, Brioche increases and decreases, Sideways shawl shaping.
Instructor: Angie
Class is taught right-handed.
Supplies Needed:
- Size US #5 - 32" circular needle
- Recommended Yarn - Merino Sport from La Bien Aimée or Tupelo Honey from Lazy Bee Yarn
Homework:
- Purchase yarn at Knit-Paper-Scissors.
- The free pattern will be added to your Ravelry library. Print and review the pattern.
- IMPORTANT: Please complete Section One of the pattern before attending the first class.
Classes with fewer than three students will be canceled 72 hours before the start date, and participants will receive a full refund. No refund will be issued for canceling registration 72 hours before class.

| Instructor Bio: | I learned to knit the day my son left for college at UNL in 2012—and I haven’t put the needles down since. As a former Home Economics teacher, I’ve always loved helping others experience that “ah ha!” moment—whether they’re learning something brand new or building on a skill. My passion is guiding people to become confident, creative makers who carry this craft with them for life. In 2015, I opened Knit-Paper-Scissors in the basement of my home. Four years later, we moved into our bright and welcoming studio space in Williamsburg Village, where community, creativity, and lifelong learning come together every day. |
