Calm Stitching Practice

Step into a quieter way of making.

Calm Stitching is a guided, in-person experience designed to help you slow down and reconnect with your craft.   With the lights softened and music playing gently in the background, you'll be led through simple cues that bring your attention to your breath, your hands, and the rhythm of your stitches.

This is not a social stitching circle.   Instead, it's a quiet, yoga-inpired space where conversation is set aside so you can fully settle into the experience of making.

Bring a project you're comfortable working on, and allow it to become a tool for focus, calm, and presence.

No pressure.  No performance.  Just stitch by stitch, returning to yourself.

Instructor: Susan Cox
Instructor Bio: A native of Nebraska, who returned after living in 3 other states for over 17 years. In February of 2024, I finally picked up my knitting needles again and quickly found that knitting was very cathartic and meditative. I love the fact that every pattern teaches me something new. After having experienced difficult losses and dealing with the grief cycle, my body gave signs of needing healing. I found whole body healing through many small but mighty practices. I pursued a new calling, directly related to my improved health and wellness - helping women find their calm and heal their bodies. I am a national board and functional medicine certified health coach. It gives me joy to help women love and care for themselves.
