Calm Stitching: A Seasonal Journey

Keep Stitching With Us All Season*
Calm Stitching is designed to build from month to month, with each session offering a new way to support your wellbeing through your craft.
Attend THREE Calm Stitching sessions at Knit Paper Scissors from September through December, and you will receive one complimentary Calm Stitching session in the new year. See below for upcoming learning topics.
During our September Calm Stitching session, we will explore what it means to arrive fully in the present moment before we begin creating. Through gentle breathing, body awareness, intentional stitching, and quiet reflection, you will practice noticing what is happening in your body and giving yourself permission to slow down.

| Instructor: | Susan Cox |
| Instructor Bio: | Susan Cox is a native Nebraskan who returned after living in 3 other states over 17 years. In February of 2024, she finally picked up her knitting needles again and quickly found the rhythm of knitting very cathartic and meditative. She loves the fact that every pattern teaches her something new - a stitch or a technique and reminds her to enjoy the process of solving and creating. Most of her professional life was spent in the insurance industry. After having experienced difficult losses and dealing with the grief cycle, her body gave signs of needing healing. She went searching for different ways to eat and found whole body healing through many small but mighty practices. Her health and lab results turned around. As she prepared to move home she took the opportunity to pursue a new calling, directly related to her improved health and wellness - helping women find their calm and heal their bodies. She is a national board and functional medicine certified health coach. It gives her joy to help women love and care for themselves. |
