Beginning Socks - In Person 2023 - April



Learn how to knit socks using the magic loop technique. Top down with insertion of the short row heel. 

Must know how to knit, purl, cast on. 

Prior experience with the magic loop is recommended.  

Includes how to fit sock for your foot, determining gauge, how to knit a short row heel.   Rounded Kitchener technique for the toe.  

$60 

Includes:  1 skein of Lazy Bee Sock Yarn, Needle and Project Bag. 


Advanced Beginner Skill Level

Advanced instruction before the class will be sent via email.  Please make sure the shop has your current email on file.  

Before beginning your sock watch the two videos shown below. 


CO 56 sts (Womens size 7 or below), CO 64 (Womens size 8-9 1/2 or below)   CO 72 (Womens size 10 or above)  on a #0 needle*

CO 72 (Mens size 9 above)  CO 80 (Mens size 12 above)*

Cast on over two needles held together to make sure your cast on is not to tight.  Divide to work in the round, magic loop.  

Knit 2 by 2 ribbing for approximately 1 inch.  Switch to stockinette stitch (knit every round) until leg measures 6" to 7" from cast on edge.  

*If you know you are a tight knitter, you many want to use a #1 needle.
